True to his nature, Patrick slammed on the brakes, jumped out and ran to the aid of the officer who was severely injured and struggling to keep his gun out of the other man's hands. Thanks to Patrick's quick thinking and courageous intervention, he helped save another policeman's life. But for Patrick, these acts weren't about heroism, praise or public recognition. He was simply doing what had to be done—he was doing the right thing.
